Hello, I’m Serina

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel like one of the hardest steps to take, and I want you to know that you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone.

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor, providing online counselling for adults, young people (11–17), and couples across the UK. I work with people experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, grief, and many of life’s other challenges. My aim is to provide a safe, compassionate, and confidential space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

My Journey

My journey into counselling began through my own life experiences. As a young adult, I experienced trauma and understand first-hand how overwhelming, isolating, and confusing life can feel during difficult times. My own experience of therapy showed me the life-changing difference that being truly heard and supported can make. It gave me hope, helped me rebuild my confidence, and inspired me to train as a therapist so that I could offer that same support to others.

Alongside my professional training, my experiences as a single mother have also shaped who I am, both personally and professionally. They have taught me resilience, patience, adaptability, and compassion. These experiences help me connect with many of the challenges clients face, whether they involve family life, relationships, loss, stress, or navigating significant life changes.

How I Work

No two people are the same, which is why I believe therapy should never be a one-size-fits-all approach.

As a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, I take an integrative, trauma-informed approach to therapy, tailoring each session to your individual needs, experiences, and goals.  I believe therapy is a collaborative process where you feel safe, accepted, and understood. Together, we will work to increase your self-awareness, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen emotional resilience, and help you move towards a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling.

My Professional Experience

Alongside my private practice, I work as a Therapeutic Practitioner within primary and secondary schools, providing therapeutic support to children and young people experiencing a range of emotional wellbeing difficulties, including anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, low self-esteem, confidence, and anger.

Working within schools has strengthened my understanding of the emotional challenges many young people face today. Supporting them to develop emotional awareness, healthier coping strategies, and greater resilience continues to be a rewarding part of my professional practice.

Alongside my counselling work, I am also the author of The Self-Love Workbook and How to Journal Guide. I am passionate about creating practical therapeutic resources that encourage self-reflection, emotional resilience, and personal growth beyond the therapy room.

My Values

At the heart of my practice is the belief that every person deserves to feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgement.

Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, approachable, and genuine. While therapy should always feel supportive, I also believe it should encourage growth. Sometimes this means gently challenging unhelpful patterns, always with kindness, honesty, and your wellbeing at the centre of our work together.

I value trust, authenticity, integrity, and respect, recognising the courage it takes to seek support and share your story. My commitment is to provide a professional, ethical, and compassionate therapeutic relationship where meaningful and lasting change can take place.
